10TV Launches 24/7 Local Weather Channel

Doppler 10 Now will launch June 12 on 10TV's digital channel 10.2.
Powered by AccuWeather and enhanced with local forecasts from the Doppler 10 weather team, Doppler 10 Now will feature local weather information and comprehensive weather forecasts by Doppler 10 meteorologists Chris Bradley, Mike Davis and Brandon Roux.
SPECIAL SECTION: Doppler 10 Weather
In addition to accurate local forecasts, national weather segments, vivid radar displays, storm track projections, and entertaining special reports, the new Doppler 10 Now channel will be loaded with the following special features focusing on unique local content:
- Dynamic L Bar, allows viewers quick access to current and upcoming conditions in key cities around central Ohio and the nation. The L-Bar also includes maps for metropolitan Columbus, as well as the surrounding area, a standard clock, temperature and "next" city forecast, as well as hour-by-hour and 5-day forecasts.
- Go Live" button for continuous station coverage during breaking news and severe weather
- Weather Trak, provides the top weather stories and local forecasts every half-hour from 5 a.m. through midnight
- Weather Watch, giving more detail regarding the impact of main weather stories around the country
- Regional Forecast, runs 8 times a day in six regions (Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, Northwest and Southwest)
- National/Travel, runs 8 times a day and combines the elements of the National and Travel forecasts into one 60-minute video, with an emphasis on weather-related travel delays around the country
- Sports forecasts that focus on upcoming sporting events and utilize eye-catching graphics
- Seasonal forecasts that focus on the weather hotspots and tropical forecasts
- Weather Whys, daily weather education series from AccuWeather's Kate Bilo
- Extended Forecast, daily extended forecast by regions delivered in a concise one minute report
- Weather Snapshot, with on-location weather video

Viewers will initially be able to access Doppler 10 Now for free over the local airwaves with a digital tuner or digital converter box. The launch of Doppler 10 Now is in conjunction with the date the nation's full power television stations transition to all-digital television, enabling viewers to have the new channel waiting for them once they rescan the channels on their DTV tuners.
Doppler 10 Now can be seen on WOW cable Channel 101 and Insight Communications Channel 432. Time Warner Cable customers are encouraged to contact their cable provider to request the channel.
